The road less travelled

With my Zumo GPS set at “avoid toll roads, motorways, shortest route” the trip to the Peloponnese was always going to be “interesting”.

The GPS took my down some strange but interesting paths, all paved, to the bemusement of the locals as the quiet piped Mille burbled inoffensively through their lives, or so I hoped.

I missed the Corinthian canal, how I don’t know, and was soon in the hills.

The clasic image of Greece, a village of red tiled roof nessled up the side of a valley.

Looking back the other way.

The further west I got, the country got greener and visually more productive.

Then I got to my destination, a tiny man made harbour on the adriatic coast, at Palouki.

It had done a real good job of raining on me in the last of the hills, a proper thunder storm, had ot pull up under oak trees beside the road as I couldn’t see.

My decission to take my Rukka Armas suit was made real with this event, and I could have kept going other than not being able to see 🙂
