The tram museum, the peaks district

from Duxford, it was to the Tramway museum at Crich, more as an excuse to ride the Peaks district roads than through an interest in trams.

Steam appears with engineering, what a surprise.

Went for a short trip.

That is the river Derwent down there.

Took the “woodland walk” back down again.

The river beckoned, but to get there i had to follow some of the path of a Stephenson tramway that had transported lime stone down to the Cromford canal.

and to a name familiar to all Tasmanians.

and on to my abode for the evening, Wirksworth and one of the many “Red Lion” i have ridden past so far in the UK, nice one though.
